About Vanderburgh Foundation

Vanderburgh Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2023 to support the efforts of Vanderburgh Sober Living. We work with a variety of stakeholders, including guests, home operators, and developers to make sober living affordable, accessible, and effective. Vanderburgh Sober Living is the nation’s largest Level-II housing network, comprised of 38 properties across 7 states and continuing to grow. By adopting this holistic approach to recovery, we want to foster a culture that views recovery infrastructure as community infrastructure.

Vanderburgh Sober Living has evolved significantly since our founding in 2016, growing from a small initiative in Massachusetts to the largest network of NARR Level II recovery homes in the United States. With a commitment to providing supportive environments for individuals in recovery, Vanderburgh Sober Living has consistently focused on innovation, empowerment, and community engagement. This journey has been marked by key milestones, from becoming the first Certified B Corporation in Worcester to creating a powerful evidence-based model for sober living. Join us as we explore the history and growth of Vanderburgh Sober Living, year by year, highlighting the major accomplishments that have shaped its path.

We are incredibly excited for the future; never before has an organization been able to scale sober living homes to such an extent. We are constantly working to refine our methods and share best practices across our network, while also providing context-specific support that addresses unique challenges in any given area. By providing support through education and training resources, we aim to increase success for everyone in the sector.
